A mixed duplicate box is hard to review. A well-prepared lot lets people understand in seconds what it contains, who it may help and what you want in return.

Choose one organising idea

Build lots by set, type, character, rarity or play use. A themed lot makes more sense than one created only because the cards fit in the same box. If you mix sets, say so clearly.

Select cards you are genuinely willing to trade

Check condition, language and quantity before taking photos. Remove damaged or counterfeit cards, and anything you would not actually give away. Do not use a large lot to hide low-quality cards behind one attractive card.

Describe the contents precisely

Give a realistic guide value

Compare equivalent cards and account for condition. A lot is not automatically worth more because it contains many cards: the other person needs to want a meaningful part of it. A useful trade is better than defending a theoretical total that nobody can move.

Make lots easy to update

Keep a digital content list and remove cards as they leave. When a lot changes substantially, photograph it again or turn it into a new lot. Your listings should never promise cards that are no longer available.

A lot count the recipient can reproduce

“50 cards” means total copies, not 50 different cards. For a hypothetical lot containing 20 codes and 50 copies, disclose both numbers. Count different languages and finishes separately. Publish the exact list and photos of the lot you will deliver.

FieldDescription example
Contents20 distinct codes, 50 total copies, two named sets
ConditionSeparate copies with whitening and show the defects
DuplicatesState the highest quantity per code; do not promise no duplicates
AvailabilityWhole lot only, or specified codes can be separated

Use the inventory template to list contents. Update quantities and photos whenever a card leaves the lot. A featured card image must not imply that a different or random lot contains it.
